Christopher Nohl Scholarship 2021-2022

Current students enrolled in a university or current high school students that plan to enroll in a university can apply to be enrolled for a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship award towards your education.  Through our essay contest we aim to generate awareness and funds for students who plan to be the first college graduate in their families.

Scholarship Overview

Christopher has spent years working as both a business owner and venture capitalist. He has financed businesses and built successful businesses of his own. Now he would like to give back to the next generation of students with the Christopher Nohl Scholarship for Diverse Backgrounds.

Christopher's scholarship is geared towards students who will be the first in their families to get a college degree. These students can feel extra strain while trying to complete their degrees, and Christopher would like to give back a little, while increasing awareness about the importance of giving back to first generation college students.

Criteria

To be eligible to apply, you should be a current undergraduate student at a university in the United States or high school student that will attend university in the future.  We will focus towards students who are the first in their families to attend a university.

The winner of the scholarship will be awarded by the best essay from our essay competition.  A single winner will be chosen based on a unique essay of under 1000 words answering the following:  

“What does success mean to you?  How does your life experience contribute to that understanding?”

One time award of $1,000

Deadline

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is July 15, 2022.

Winner Announced

The winner for the scholarship will be announced August 15, 2022.

How to Apply

Students who wish to apply should email their answer to the essay question “What does success mean to you?  How does your life experience contribute to that understanding?” in Word Doc format to [email protected].

Along with the essay, please provide the following information:
